Later this year, NEC Display Solutions will launch the MultiSync EA222WMe, its first LCD desktop display with a White LED (Light Emitting Diode) backlight. Users in the SME and corporate sector, in particular, will be able to enjoy an even greater choice of products to meet their individual needs.

NEC EA22WMEAfter reducing the four conventional CCFL backlights to just two in the MultiSync EA221WMe, the NEC MultiSync EA222WMe employs White LED technology that is even more energy efficient. Saves up to 50 percent energy compared to conventional TFT displays. All the proven eco features of the MultiSync EA series, such as the ambient light sensor for optimal screen brightness at any time, or the NEC One Touch Eco Button, perfectly complete the entire “eco” package and guarantee excellent efficiency. in costs thanks to an extremely low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

This 22-inch widescreen display is completely manufactured without environmentally harmful materials such as arsenic, mercury or halogens. The EPEAT Gold certification (on the black model) and the EPEAT Silver certification are testament to the excellent environmental compatibility of the LC display. This display comes with the latest TCO 5.0 certification and meets the criteria for the future Energy Star 5.0 seal.

The W-LED backlight with a brightness of 250 cd/m2 guarantees excellent viewing comfort. For top-level connectivity, the NEC MultiSync EA222WMe has not only a DVI-D interface but also a DisplayPort interface. Furthermore, the height can be adjusted up to 110mm and there is a pivot function to achieve the degree required for the best ergonomics in the workplace.
Availability

The NEC MultiSync EA222WMe will be available in December 2009 in black and white with a silver frame.
