The new version 7.3 of the DeckLink filed today in Amsterdam to mark the IBC'09 support includes ProRes 4: 4: 4: 4, 1080p 50/60 and easy integration with RED files.
Blackmagic Design today announced the immediate availability of version 7.3 of the popular DeckLink particularly suitable for professional video. DeckLink 7.3 is actually a free, downloadable upgrade for users of Windows, Mac OS X 10.6 and now also Linux.
The new version includes Media Express beta version intended for comprehensive support DPX, playlist creation, and an interface that is exactly the same on any operating system.
For those using HD 1080 progressive video, DeckLink 7.3 with the DeckLink HD Extreme 3 offer full support for 1080p50, 1080p60 and 1080p59.94. Also working with the Dual Link 1.5 Gb / s HD-SDI as well as through a simple port 3 Gb / s SDI. For monitoring, HDLink Pro also have been updated to support the new progressive formats.
DeckLink 7.3 for Mac OS X includes support for new systems like Final Cut Pro 7, as well as work flows ProRes 4: 4: 4: 4 and RED. DeckLink 7.3 for Windows includes support for Fusion x64.
DeckLink 7.3 is available for download from the Support page Blackmagic Design. Linux users will need to download the DeckLink SDK for Linux version as well as the drivers of Media Express 2.0 software.
