Ross Video - Servidores de video - Mira Tria Kiva

Mira, Tria and Kiva, three of the pillars of the RossVideo video server portfolio, have been updated with new features and models.

All products in the RossVideo video server area now feature “As run logging and log report creator,” a function that streamlines the delivery to customers of a CSV or PDF file from logs that have verified broadcast content for billing confirmation. Beyond this specific improvement, the Mira, Tria and Kiva ranges receive interesting new features.

For example, the Mira+ playout server is upgraded to support 24 frames per second and “true 60p” frame rates. The high frame rate “super slow motion” function (previously available as an option) is now standard on all Mira+ models, as is the new Mira control surface. In addition, the compact Mira Express model receives a 76-hour storage upgrade, double the previous capacity. In addition, a new model arrives with more than 152 hours of total storage. Finally, Mira Express comes standard with a new clip interconnect feature that allows replay operators to playback clips from another Mira Express over a local network.

As for the Tria+ multichannel production server, it has been upgraded to support a variety of additional frame rates. On another level, the compact Tria Express Duet production server also benefits from the aforementioned clip networking feature, offering significant efficiency benefits to workflows where multiple Tria Express Duet video servers are in use.

Kiva enhancements and price reductions

Rounding out the new features, the Kiva+ presentation server now features a new model that supports three pairs of PGM/PVW playback channels (the original models support one or two pairs of channels). Another new feature of Kiva is the ability to decouple the “channel tab”from each channel pair in the Kiva Presenter application, so that each channel pair can be placed on its own computer screen. Finally, Ross has announced a “restructuring”” of pricing across the entire range of video server solutions, with reductions of up to 40%.

Douglas Johnson, product manager for the video server business at Ross, explains the genesis of this extensive revamp: “We’ve spent a great deal of time listening to our customers throughout the pandemic, and we’ve heard the need for greater efficiency and even more value. Our revamped range of video server solutions directly addresses these needs with enhanced feature sets, improved ease of use and even better return on investment. Ross is committed to helping customers overcome their creative, business, and technical challenges, and these updates and changes do precisely that!”
