Lawo Home - Merging Technologies

IL Il loro IP infrastructure management platform Home is now compatible with all Tecnologie di fusione solutions.

All of the Fusione IP products, including its virtual audio devices and soon its Anubis, Horus E Hapi interfaces, will benefit from the instant IP discovery and registration, intuitive flow routing, device monitoring, diagnostics, parameter control and security features offered by the Home platform, all enabled through a single control API. Thanks to this initiative, for example, the parameters of Fusione products can be set from one of the mc² series consoles that have the Home function built in. Pre-shipped, qualifying software and hardware from Merging Technologies can be added to the Home ecosystem via a simple firmware update that will be available before IBC 2022.

Christian Struck, senior product manager audio production at Il loro, applauds Merging Technologies’ decision to support Casa: “Operators frequently leverage the sonic excellence of Merging’s audio preamps in combination with a Lawo mc²-series console. A direct line of communication between the two provides centralized access to comprehensive parameter tweaks and all the real-time information, security and control today’s operators require.”

Claude Cellier, CEO of Merging Technologies, shares Struck’s view: “We consider the integration of Merging products with Lawo’s Home platform a perfect match. A growing number of users have been asking for a way to remotely control our preamps from a Lawo mc² console. In addition to all-round operational convenience, Home provides lightning-fast discovery and registration, and more. We are sure Merging Technologies’ user base will appreciate these control and monitoring features.”

Lawo adds Oasis from Merging Technologies

Il loro has also confirmed that all of its products now support Oasis, Tecnologie di fusione‘ proprietary Ethernet-based protocol. This move will optimise the interconnection of systems and simplify workflows involving products from both companies. Maurice Engler, product and project manager at Merging, comments: “This development is a really significant bonus for users in a variety of scenarios, including live broadcast, recording and post-production, and we warmly welcome this initiative by Lawo.”

Finally, Lawo’s Christian Struck added that the next version of the Lawo audio production software, V10.2.4, will offer “extensive support” for Merging Technologies’ Pyramix E Ovation tools, among other new features.
