Stephen BrownsillVídeo Ross has strengthened its audio division with the signing of Stephen Brownsill, who becomes the Canadian firm’s first audio product manager.

Brownsill began his career as an audio recording engineer, then graduated into audio post-production and eventually managed broadcast operations for Raposa e Walt Disney Television in the UK.

He then joined Miranda Technologies and finally Vale da Grama, working as a product specialist and solutions architect. His last project before joining Ross Video was audio product manager at TSL Products.

Audio development

Brownsill welcomes Ross’ decision to reinforce his efforts on the audio side: “I’m extremely pleased to be joining Ross and breaking new ground as the company’s first dedicated audio Product Manager. The company’s reputation as an end-to-end solutions provider continues to grow around the world and of course audio is a highly important element of the live production environment. I think it’s fantastic that Ross is increasingly its focus on this area, and I’m very much looking forward to bringing my experience and perspective to the various product roadmap discussions.”

Por outro lado, Nigel Spratling, VP of production switchers and video servers, has taken the opportunity to highlight the importance of audio in his customers’ workflows: “While Stephen will be a member of the Switcher and Server group, he will be working across all of our product lines to ensure that the audio needs of our customers are consistently met in future. Developing a comprehensive roadmap for audio development is a big job, but I know Stephen is up for the challenge and we’re very happy to have him onboard.”
