TVU Networks appoints Oriol Icart, former Betevé CTO

Oriol Icart, who for the past year has held the position of CTO at Barcelona-based Betevé TV, joins TVU Networks as senior director of technical operations for EMEA and CIS.

Icart, who has held leadership roles at companies such as Dorna, Mediapro and Betevé throughout his career, returns to TVU Networks, where he previously served as CTO from 2018 to 2022. From this position, Icart will deposit all his experience in the sports and news broadcasting sectors, as well as put in value his recent experiences at Betevé to adapt TVU Networks’ cloud and on-prem solutions and services to the different broadcasters in the EMEA and CIS regions.

TVU Networks highlights the “transformative approach” of its new hire, equipped with “a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and challenges media organizations face in the digital transition.” This expertise, according to the technology company, “will be pivotal in guiding TVU’s clientele through the intricacies of modernizing their media supply chains, ensuring a seamless digital transformation, one step at a time.”

Paul Shen, CEO of TVU Networks, is confident that Icart’s “demonstrated leadership abilities and technical prowess” will “enhance and accelerate our operational capabilities in two regions where we are seeing increasing demand for our services.”
