LiveU unveils Nexus, a universal cloud-based gateway for digital and IP workflows

Developed with the aim of simplifying the input and output of audiovisual assets across all protocols and offering a versatile cloud-native video routing and transformation solution, Nexus joins the LiveU ecosystem to further expand the company’s cross-platform vision for IP video.

LiveU Nexus transfers IP video content to and from different platforms and environments, including SDI, SMPTE 2110, and NDI-based production systems, using new and existing рабочие процессы. In this way, the solution acts as a universal gateway for all IP-based transmissions within the LiveU EcoSystem, offering unlimited access to live transmissions to and from any system, allowing users to input, transform, route, and broadcast any stream in a matter of seconds.

Any type of feed can be connected from anywhere to anywhere, including LiveU’s own LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport), SRT, RTMP, HLS, and others, to local and cloud-based infrastructures. Producers can pull live content from Zoom, YouTube, and other social media platforms with a simple URL or meeting link, without the need for converters or workarounds.

Resolutions, frame rates, aspect ratios, and codec differences are automatically normalized across all sources, ensuring that all signals are instantly compatible with output tools. In addition, any IP stream can be sent to LiveU’s IP cloud solutions, including Livem Studio for cloud production, LiveU Ingest for recording, or Живая матрица for IP distribution, and integrated with an installed base of LiveU receivers, without the need for additional hardware. In this way, Nexus stands out as a tool capable of performing all types of protocol conversion, and capturing and routing content to and from social networks or web browsers, all supported by the adaptability and scalability of cloud environments.
