Panasonic updates Kairos with more inputs and outputs with the Agile I/O function

Panasonic has updated the Kairos system software to version 1.2 for the Kairos IT/IP live production platform.

The new version offers an expanded number of inputs and outputs using the new Agile I/O feature. Also, enhanced audio functions include interface support for various audio inputs and outputs, improved audio-mixer functions, and a new audio player.

Overall, the upgrade enables larger-scale live productions without requiring hardware updates.

New Agile I/O feature realizes up to 64 inputs and 40 outputs by flexibly allocating bandwidth according to each source (no hardware update required); NDI, SRT, RTMP and RTSP audio support; there are 16 channels each for NDI and SRT and 8 channels each for RTMP and RTSP; and SDI embedded audio output support.

Improved audio-mixer functionality includes Pre-Fader Listen (PFL) and audio-monitor output among various new features. This requires audio mixer option AT-SF005.

New audio player can import audio files (WAV, MP3, Ogg and FLAC) for 4-channel, 48 kHz, 24-bit audio playback.

Applicable products: Kairos Core 1000 (AT-KC1000), Kairos Core 100 (AT-KC100), Kairos Control (AT-KC10C1), and Kairos Creator (AT-SFC10). Will be available free of charge starting in April.
