AJA - Bridge Live - 1.13.2

Version 1.13.2 of the AJA Bridge Live solutions extends the system’s IST capabilities and improves the performance of the UHD/Multichannel HD contribution, streaming and delivery solution.

AJA Bridge Live simplifies the transport of uncompressed 12G-SDI UHD and multichannel HD video to and from a wide range of streaming and contribution codecs, including NDI, H.265, H.264, MPEG-2 and JPEG 2000. Specifically, the new 1.13.2 release of the system introduces new support for NDI detection servers, which streamline the detection of NDI sources within a network and act as a centralised registry for all NDI transmissions. These servers are specifically designed for production environments where significant multicast DNS (mDNS) traffic is restricted or prohibited, which is common in many cloud computing services. Discovery servers support full NDI functionality and, when used, NDI can operate in full unicast mode in almost any installation.

In addition, AJA Bridge Live 1.13.2 adds support for NDI groups, where sources can be organised and sorted to simplify NDI stream management; NDI stream output at 4K 60fps, targeting high-rasterisation streams; and, for more complex production demands, the update extends input support for more than 100 NDI sources. In addition, Bridge Live adds H.264 MBAFF interlace detection and a new ability to determine the correct field order.

Nick Rashby, president of AJA, highlights the value of this free upgrade for all users with an active maintenance contract: “Bridge Live features enterprise-level processing power to support the most rigorous demands of live production and critical streaming environments. To further simplify workflows and help teams deliver the highest quality streams, Bridge Live v1.13.2 expands NDI capabilities for more flexible workflows.”
