Clear-Com delves into virtual technology with the launch of its new Gen-IC Cloud intercom
Presented as a secure and flexible virtual solution that will allow users to easily integrate local hardware with a virtual intercom, Clear-Com has developed Gen-IC Cloud.
This solution will be sold through Clear-Com's extensive global network of distribution partners, in the case of Spain through QinMedia and will allow end users to quickly scale multiple virtual clients as needed, with the unique ability to integrate with Clear-Com's extensive hardware infrastructure across LAN, WAN and Internet.
The latency issue is especially important for audio communications, and Clear-Com has developed a virtual intercom application that can be deployed to selectable regional targets. This minimizes the latency inherent to virtualization, allowing administrators to easily deploy Gen-IC Cloud Intercom closer to where teams work. Additionally, Gen-IC Cloud Intercom systems from around the world can connect to each other, creating the ultimate communication and collaboration tool for critical productions.
Kari Eythorsson, Product Manager, comments that “Gen-IC Cloud Intercom and SkyPort are the result of extensive development work by our engineering and customer testing teams.”
“Virtual intercom systems pose unique challenges and we know our customers expect a reliable and well-designed solution from us. “We are proud to bring this solution to market with partner services and excited about the possibilities of what we can do in the virtual space in the future,” he adds.
During extensive field testing, users have reported excellent results, even in the most difficult situations.
Antonio Barbosa, engineer of Globo TV, and his team tested the product and stated: “TV Globo's testing experience with Gen-IC Cloud Intercom was extraordinary. “The system demonstrated flawless communication and exceptional audio quality, even in busy event settings.”
The system is designed for ease of use and uses Clear-Com's award-winning virtual clients, mobile application Agent-IC and the virtual desktop client Station-IC, eliminating the need for additional user training. Virtual client connections to hardware ecosystems are achieved through Clear-Com's wide range of LQ Series IP interfaces, with no dedicated interface requirements.
Clear-Com SkyPort offers workspace management for partners, making it easy to manage many different client sites and events in a single online application.
Through SkyPort, local administrators can be empowered to manage events and put control in the hands of users, while still benefiting from Clear-Com's impressive support capabilities provided through its partner network.
