The new Traxis platform, a turnkey solution that aims to make high-precision tracking in virtual production “easier than ever before,” is the most significant new feature to be unveiled by كثافة صفر at IBC 2023 (September 15-18).

The Traxis platform has been designed by كثافة صفر to enable creatives to tell immersive stories with photorealistic virtual graphics by eliminating traditional barriers such as long calibration times, distracting markers and costly latency errors. With accuracy down to 0.2 mm and ultra-low six millisecond latency, the Zero Density Traxis camera tracking system aims to deliver continuous calibration and seamless real-time results, so that every camera movement that occurs on set is reflected in the virtual world without delay.

For talent tracking, the Traxis platform (which will be present at IBC 2023) includes an AI-based system that can identify multiple actors at once within a 3D environment. Using this technology, the 3D location of the actor or presenter can be established, and the data can then be sent to the Reality Engine to create accurate virtual reflections, refractions, and shadows of the actor within the 3D space. This technology dispenses with markers altogether, which streamlines setup and maintenance, and means actors no longer need to be distracted by wearables or beacons that hinder their performance.

The heart of the Zero Density Traxis platform is Traxis Hub, a tool that manages both tracking and lens calibration data. Compatible with all industry-standard tracking protocols, the hub brings together all available tracking and lens data into one centralized interface, significantly reducing setup time. In addition, the hub has a library of the most used emission lenses, enabling “quick and easy” calibration.
