D&b: definitive commitment to MILAN IP protocol for NAMM and ISE 2024

MILAN is positioned as the main technological basis of d&b solutions in the framework of the NAMM Und ISE 2024 shows, where the firm will present products prepared for this protocol as the DS20 audio bridge, the DS100M signal processor and the D90 power amplifier.

The protocol that structures the present and future of d&b, MILAN, promises to offer less complexity, maximum interoperability, increased redundancy and independence from specific suppliers or third-party technology. The DS20 audio network bridge is designed to provide a “cost-effective and integrated” connection between d&b and MILAN systems. The DS20 network bridge acts as an interface between d&b amplifiers and the MILAN audio transfer protocol and includes impressive technical features such as 16 digital AES 3 output channels, 4 digital AES 3 input channels and an integrated network switch with 5 fully AVB-compliant ports, providing unparalleled flexibility and redundancy. On the other hand, the DS100M signal processor is the MILAN-enabled iteration of DS100 with Dante. This solution leverages the technological power of MILAN and extends its functionality to provide a wide range of features. These include more audio channels via MILAN, MADI or clock signal inputs.

At both NAMM and ISE, the D90, the d&b new flagship amplifier, will also be unveiled.
