Panasonic unifies its technology business unit in Europe
Panasonic integrates twelve product categories, project management and B2B services into the same organization. The new PSCEU is made up of four business divisions: Communication Solutions, Visual System Solutions, Professional Camera Solutions and Computer Product Solutions.
Panasonic Corporation has announced the creation of a new company, Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU), which will integrate twelve product categories, project management and B2B services into the same organization. With 500 employees dedicated to offering customers a single point of contact, project management and integration services, the new company offers a portfolio of technology for the capture, processing and communication of all types of data: voice, image and text.
The new PSCEU is made up of four business divisions:
- Communication Solutions, which encompasses scanners, multifunctional printers, telephone systems and high-definition videoconferencing systems.
- Professional Camera Solutions, which brings together professional audio-video, security and IMV (or integrated Machine Vision) technology solutions. Panasonic is one of the two largest suppliers of professional cameras in Europe.
- Computer Product Solutions, which includes the Toughbook range of rugged notebooks; Toughpad professional tablets and electronic point of sale systems (EPOS). Panasonic Toughbook is the leader in the European rugged notebook market with a market share of 62.9% in 2010 (VDC, June 2011).
The new organization has been structured based on customer needs. It enables the integration of third-party services and products into customized solutions, and Panasonic can provide project management for multi-site and multinational deployments. Project management may also include coordination with Panasonic partners.
The benefits for customers are diverse, such as a single interlocutor in multidisciplinary projects, faster and less risky project deployments, agreement on prices for Europe or worldwide, as well as the possibility of designing complete solutions, incorporating third-party products, using Panasonic's extensive engineering experience.
Masaki Arizono, CEO of Panasonic System Communications Company Europe, commented that "Panasonic products have always helped make the working lives of our customers easier. With our new organization, we will achieve more than just making life easier for our customers, by being able to provide them with more value through our services and solutions. No other company in Europe is so well positioned in our market."
