The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism incorporates proposals from the video game sector to the call for aid
Among them are the lowering of the minimum budget of candidate projects, the lower requirement for guarantees, the change in the definition of the type of project or lower amortization installments.
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, through the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the Information Society, has prepared the response report to the public consultation open from April 7 to 16, 2014 on the website of the Ministry and in the Digital Agenda for Spain.
All interested agents have sent their motivated opinions until reaching the figure of 68 responses. Once all the contributions have been compiled and analyzed, the report includes the main responses and then motivates the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism's response to them.
As a result of the analysis, the call will be modified in order to satisfy the needs of the sector and achieve the greatest impact of the aid. In particular, six measures are identified aimed at expanding the number of companies applying for aid. Among them are the lowering of the minimum budget of candidate projects, the lower requirement for guarantees, the change in the definition of the type of project or lower amortization installments.
Once these changes derived from the public consultation are included, aid to the video game sector will be announced by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. In this way, one of the commitments included in the Plan to Promote the Digital Economy and Digital Content integrated within the Digital Agenda for Spain approved by the Council of Ministers in February 2013 is fulfilled.
