Elsa Martínez meets with Valencian producers

The new general director of the City of Light, Elsa Martínez, meets with the audiovisual producers of the Valencian Community to hear first-hand their impressions and requests.

The general director of the City of Light, Elsa Martínez, has held a meeting with the representatives of the main producer associations of the Valencian Community. This is the first contact since the new general director received her appointment. The purpose of the meeting was to hear first-hand the impressions and requests of the representatives of the audiovisual sector, and to learn about the circumstances in which their work is carried out.

The meeting was attended by Antonio Mansilla, representative of AVAPI (Valencian Association of Independent Producers); Amparo Castellano, coordinator of the Valencian Audiovisual Cluster; Ximo Pérez, representative of PAV (Valencian Audiovisual Producers) and Pepón Sigler, representative of EAVF (Federated Valencian Audiovisual Companies).

The Valencian audiovisual sector is one of the most dynamic industrial sectors of the Valencian community, which by its very nature maintains a close relationship with the City of Light, the Alicante film studios in which a good part of its productions have been filmed. Currently, several sets of the audiovisual complex are occupied by Valencian production companies that shoot television series and feature films. The general director has conveyed to the producers her desire to increase this collaboration and to continue offering entrepreneurs and creators the facilities of the City of Light in the best possible conditions.
