The star of the AMX stand at Broadcast IT 2011 will be the new Enova DVX-3150HD all-in-one switcher. It will also exhibit the device control boxes with ICSLan (ICSLan Device Control Boxes), the NXV-CPI Control Phone Interface and the new Digital Generation System Enova DGX 16 and Enova DGX 32 matrices.

The star of the stand AMX At Broadcast IT 2011 it will be the new Enova DVX-3150HD “all-in-one” switcher. The Enova DVX-3150HD features advanced technology for end-to-end distribution of HDMI signals with Full HDCP, with the simplicity of analog, and without interruptions or restrictions through InstaGate Pro technology. The hybrid system is a complete solution for control, audio and video, all in the space of 3 rack units.

The DVX-3150HD from AMX is an all-in-one 10x4 switcher, which is also a controller, scaler, transcoder and converter with built-in professional audio processing. This “future-proof” solution easily integrates HDCP into system designs providing seamless plug-and-play connectivity for both digital and analog audio and video. Simplifies installations by eliminating HDCP restrictions, sending HDCP signals to all displays without interruptions or delays.

Designed to simplify system design and provide a future-proof solution, the DVX-3150HD's multi-format video inputs support analog, digital and HDMI sources with HDCP. DSP professional audio provides quality audio throughout the room. Built-in SmartScale technology allows video outputs to be perfectly sized for each connected display, eliminating integration challenges that can occur when sources and displays have different optimal resolutions, making the DVX-3150HD easy to specify, easy to install and easy to use.

Device control boxes

Another novelty are the device control boxes with ICSLan (ICSLan Device Control Boxes) that allow users to connect devices via Ethernet that cannot normally be connected this way, including projectors, screens, lights and blinds, through a standard twisted pair cable for remote management through a NetLinx Controller. Virtually any device controlled by IR, RS-232, I/O or relays can be connected to an IP network and managed, regardless of whether the device is in the next room or anywhere in the world.

These boxes offer AV integrators and IT administrators a simple, cost-effective solution to simplify management of the “whole” building or home. The compact units allow a NetLinx controller to manage many more devices than the number of ports present on the controller.

Although the technology that connects NO-IT devices to an IP network is not completely new, what is new is the ease with which ICSLan Device Control Boxes allow this to happen. Because they are native NetLinx units, programming is easy, with no special code or commands required. To make installation even easier, the device control boxes feature Power over Ethernet (PoE), this functionality eliminates the need for a power source at the installation site.

NXV-CPI

Another highlight will be the presentation of the NXV-CPI Control Phone Interface.

The NXV-CPI provides the two most popular Cisco IP phones with control capabilities by transforming their displays into user interfaces to control an AMX-managed environment.

The NXV-CPI, when combined with a NetLinx controller, allows Cisco Phone users to gain a basic level of control with minimal investment in new infrastructure. Through the touch screen integrated into the phones, physical buttons, function keys or keyboard, users can access and control the systems present in the room, such as teleconferencing, audiovisual control and air conditioning.

Additionally, in today's business climate, where many companies are looking for ways to optimize resource and energy management, facility managers can further enhance their NXV-CPI deployment with AMX's Resource Management Suite™ intelligent resource management software for a comprehensive, building-wide solution.

The NXV-CPI is intended for use with the Cisco 7965G and CP-CP-7975G phones.

Enova DGX 16 and 32

To solve the problems related to HDCP, AMX will show the new Enova DGX 16 and Enova DGX 32 digital matrices at Broadcast IT 2011.
AMX has also announced new DXLink HDMI transmitters and receivers to simplify the transport of HDMI signals with HDCP.

The Enova DGX 16 and 32 systems break the boundaries of modular matrix switchers by incorporating an integrated NetLinx controller and Ethernet switch, so users can manage, monitor and control the entire solution, including connected sources and displays located throughout the building, all from a single point of control. With the powerful combination of analog-to-digital signal conversion, video scaling and high-speed digital switching, this hybrid system always delivers perfect video, regardless of the signal type.

Installers can now easily integrate HDCP into their system designs and enjoy seamless plug-and-play. No tools, no delays, and no device connection limitations, thanks to the exclusive AMX InstaGate Pro technology.

In addition to eliminating HDCP delays, InstaGate Pro allows connection-limited sources to be freely switched to HDCP-compatible displays, eliminating HDCP connection limitations that plague large applications. And thanks to integrating SmartScale technology into each output, the video is scaled to the perfect size automatically, for each connected display, preventing the loss of video quality that occurs when sources and displays have different supported resolutions. The Enova DGX 16 and 32 feature a complete set of hot-swappable cards that can be used in conjunction with DXLink transmitters and receivers to create an end-to-end distribution system that transmits analogue, digital signals, including HDMI with HDCP, plus control, Ethernet and power up to 100 meters over twisted pair cable.
