RTVE will produce a documentary with 4K technology, capable of capturing with complete rigor the volumes, textures and colors, which will allow everyone who watches it to know exactly and in detail the collections that are exhibited in one of the most important museums in the world.

Prado Museum

This Thursday an agreement was signed between RTVE and the Prado Museum to carry out the Madrid art gallery's first documentary in Ultra High Definition.

The project, in which they will also participate Hispasat, Abertis Telecom, Apointlapospo y Ovid, will present in 50 minutes the history of the museum and the works of art it houses.

The documentary will be recorded in Ultra High Definition (UHD) at 4K resolution, which multiplies by four the number of pixels on an HD screen, offering a resolution four times higher than conventional high definition. This extraordinarily improves the sharpness of the image and offers the user a much more immersive experience and a very high perception of quality.

This documentary in 4K technology, capable of capturing volumes, textures and colors with complete rigor, will allow everyone who watches it to learn exactly and in detail about the collections that are exhibited in one of the most important museums in the world.

Present at the signing ceremony of the agreement for the production of the documentary were the CEO of Hispasat, Carlos Espídos; the general director of Abertis Telecom, Tobías Martínez; the director of TVE, Ignacio Corrales; and the post-production director of Apuntolapospo, Bernat Aragonés.

Hispasat and Abertis will sponsor the documentary and provide the necessary resources for the development of the project, while Apuntolapospo will collaborate in post-production and Ovide will provide technical means. TVE is responsible for the production, direction and realization of the documentary.

On the other hand, the president of the RTVE Corporation, Leopoldo González Echenique; The Secretary of State for Culture, José María Lassalle, and the president of the Royal Board of Trustees of the Prado Museum, José Pedro Pérez-Llorca, signed in the same act a collaboration agreement between both entities signed by the director of the Prado Museum, Miguel Zugaza, and the director of TVE.
