Barça-Madrid in every corner of the planet and this year... even in the clouds
The collaboration between Mediapro and Turkish Airlines will allow the match to be followed live on its fleet of aircraft. More than 300 professionals, 10 mobile units and around thirty cameras will offer the best coverage of the match.
Interest in the match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid goes up another notch with the collaboration between Turkish Airlines and Mediapro for live broadcasting on all of the airline's flights. Interest in the LFP continues to grow, becoming comparable to the major world competitions. It is the first LFP match to be broadcast live on airplanes in flight. Until now, only the Premier League or the Bundesliga could be followed live at 30,000 feet above sea level. The airline, a member of Star Alliance, has flights to the 5 continents and to several Spanish cities.
In addition, for the second season the match signal will be distributed in Ultra High Definition 4K, the best image that allows you to capture every last detail of the match thanks to augmented reality or 'Super Zoom'. An initiative that adds value to Liga BBVA broadcasts and reinforces the television quality of one of the sporting events that generates the largest audience worldwide.
The good schedule of the game in America means that it is expected to reach large audience records on this continent. For example, Barça-Madrid will be played in Miami at 4 p.m., in Bogotá at 3 p.m., in Mexico City at 2 p.m. and in Buenos Aires, Montevideo or Rio de Janeiro at 5 p.m.
The global party
The meeting can be followed live around the world and some large international networks have requested the customization of the signal distributed by Mediapro. Direct TV, Canal+ Poland, beIN Sports Arabic, beIN Sports USA or beIN Sports France will travel their teams to Barcelona for pre- and post-match connections.
It will be the first time that the TV4 Sweden channel will personalize its signal from the Camp Nou in a match between these two teams to offer all the details and unpublished images to its subscribers before, during and after the match.
Players and former players, coaches or illustrious figures from the world of sport will also be at the Camp Nou to comment on the match on different operators: Éric Abidal, Ludovic Giuly, Sonny Anderson and Luis Fernández (BeIn Sports France), Patrick M'Boma (Canal+ Africa), Óscar García, Victor Sánchez del Amo or Chad Johnson (beIN Sports USA), Takeshi Okada (Wowow TV Japan) or Rafał Wolski (Canal+ Poland).
Up to 15 commentator positions have been requested by television networks around the world to broadcast Barça-Madrid live.
A great display
Mediapro will carry out a display according to the size of a sporting event that has generated so much interest. To offer the best broadcast both nationally and internationally, more than 300 professionals (producers, directors, technicians...), 10 mobile units and a device with more than 30 cameras will be available at the Camp Nou.
Three Super Slow Motion cameras will create the most spectacular replays of the match, two goal lines to check if the ball has gone in, a Beauty for elevated views of the stadium, a Traveling camera for lateral movements and a High Speed Pole Mini Cam behind one of the goals to capture new difficult-to-get angles and offer fans around the world a better broadcast.
Looking ahead to this match, Mediapro has produced the special Classic, despite everything, a document with unpublished and exclusive images of the last Madrid-Barça not yet seen by the viewer. Networks such as SKY Brasil, ESPN STAR (Asia), Canal+ Poland, TV4 Sweden, NTV Russia, M-Net South Africa, Belgacom, SKY México or beIN Sports USA have had the opportunity to reproduce it for their viewers.
This production aims to show how this duel is capable of paralyzing the activity of millions of people. A different vision of the last Madrid-Barça dedicated to all football lovers who could not experience it in an ideal way, but who still managed to participate in that sublime moment of world football.
