Written and directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, popularly known for their role as actors in Physics or Chemistry and Without tits there is no paradise, the work began as a small underground musical and little by little it grew until it became what it is today: a comedy that won 11 Broadway World awards, Fotogramas de Plata for Best Actress, a Musical Theater Award, 3 nominations for the Actors' Union Awards and chosen as the Best Production of 2013 by the readers of El País. It has been successfully represented in more than 30 cities in Spain, Mexico and Moscow.
The same authors and directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, who have just released the Paquita Salas series on Neox and Flooxer with overwhelming success from critics and audiences, adapt it to the big screen The call, which also preserves the original cast that conquered audiences in theater. Goya winner Macarena García (Snow White, Palm trees in the snow) steps into the shoes of María Casado, a teenager who dreams of being an electro-Latin star with her friend Susana, played by Anna Castillo (El olivo, Gestión Fantasma). Completing the cast is Belén Cuesta (Eight Catalan surnames, Kiki), who gives life to the young sister Milagros, Gracia Olayo (Now or never, Shrews), who plays the upright nun Bernarda, and Richard Collins-Moore, in the role of God himself.
The film adaptation will feature new characters played by, among others, María Isabel Díaz (Vis a Vis, Return), Secun de la Rosa (Aida, The Witches of Zugarramurdi) and Esti Quesada, the famous youtuber “Soy una pringada”, will have new original songs.
An exceptional team joins this project, among them Migue Amoedo (Goya for Best Photography for The Bride), Sylvie Imbert (Goya for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for snow white y Nobody wants the night) and Roger Bellés (art direction Vulcania, The next skin). The film's original soundtrack will be provided by Leiva. In addition, the production of the musical's themes will be by Niguel Walker (producer of El Canto del Loco, La Oreja de Van Gogh and Pereza, among others).

The film is a production of Apache Films, Sábado Movies and We do it and we already see AIE with the participation of TVE. The film is produced by Enrique López Lavigne, José Corbacho, Jorge Javier Vázquez, Kike Maíllo and Toni Carrizosa and will hit Spanish cinemas with DeAPlaneta in 2017.
