Lawo redefines the configuration and management of broadcast environments at NAB 2026
Beyond the launch of a solution defined as a “revolutionary innovation”, Theirs attend NAB 2026 with significant improvements throughout its range of solutions aimed at continuing to provide versatility to new IP environments and improving user operability.
It will be April 8th when Theirs present at an event prior to his presence at NAB 2026 what will be the next step its “converged multimedia infrastructure” strategy. Designed to accelerate system setup and optimize operational efficiency in broadcast, recording, live performance and corporate AV environments, this solution aims to make production workflows are “faster, smarter and more agile on a daily basis”.
Most likely, the tool is closely related to Home, operational backbone of the ecosystem Lawo IP that continues to improve with capabilities such as role-based access control (RBAC), and provides essential services such as Device discovery, authentication and orchestration. At the Las Vegas event, Lawo will continue to expand the possibilities of this ecosystem with applications such as Home Multiviewer, an ultra-low latency, server-based processing solution that supports SMPTE ST2110, NDI, SRT, and JPEG XS workflows.
Its ability to generate wide designs, with up to 64 picture-in-picture tiles, is complemented by a dynamic resolution management system which operates in conjunction with Lawo's .edge platform. This mechanism intelligently select between full resolution signals or proxy streams based on the PiP size and operating context, resulting in optimized CPU usage and a significant reduction in bandwidth overhead while maintaining accurate monitoring quality.
In addition to Multiviewer, Home app portfolio includes conversion UDX in real time with HDR processing, graphics insertion, stream transcoding and a comprehensive set of tools for color correction, timecode generation, test patterns, tone generation and audio DSP. Each application can be start or stop on demand, creating an adaptable processing environment that responds to rapidly evolving production requirements and aligns with the Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) and Media Exchange Layer (MXL) initiatives.
New capabilities for mc² sound consoles
In NAB 2026, Lawo will present a new software update for production consoles mc²36, mc²56 y mc²96as well as for live mixing systems Crystal. New version of mc² introduces workflow Strip Assign, which speeds up channel setup and improves visual clarity, while greater integration with Waves SuperRack through the protocol ProLink lands to improve plug-in workflows in real time. Additionally, the system receives new security features compliant with the standard EBU R.143, which provide protection to systems in interconnected IP production environments.
Complementing these workflow improvements is the DSP Home mc², which extends mc²'s own mixing capabilities into the realm of software. This engine, which runs on generic CPU platforms, supports thousands of input processing channels, immersive production formats, extensive bus structures and collaborative mixing functions. Furthermore, through its integration with Home, it allows allocate audio processing resources dynamically.
