Dolby Atmos

Ateme has integrated Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos technologies into its Titan Live solution, making it the first solution on the market to natively encode and deliver both experiences.

This solution enables content providers and redistributors the ability to offer viewers an immersive visual and audio experience by combining Ateme and Dolby’s best-in-class vision and audio innovations.

The integration of Dolby Vision image quality into Titan Live, Ateme’s high video quality, high-density software compression solution, will bring entertainment to life for viewers through incredible brightness, contrast, color and detail. Meanwhile, with Dolby Atmos, audiences will be able to enjoy a fully immersive listening experience through audio that brings them closer to the story.

With Ateme’s Titan Live encoding solution, which now supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Ateme customers will benefit from reduced costs and complexity in production and distribution.

Cloud support

The integration also offers more deployment flexibility by supporting the cloud. It supports Dolby AC-4 and Dolby Audio delivery formats, such as Dolby Digital Plus, for maximum player interoperability when delivering Dolby Atmos content. This development is the result of a strong and fruitful long-term partnership between Ateme and Dolby, as the two companies have collaborated closely on numerous major global events in recent years, such as world-class tennis tournaments and major soccer matches.

Jean-Christophe Morizur, senior director of Pro Products and Solutions at Dolby Laboratories, comments that “Ateme Titan’s integration of Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and our Dolby audio codec technologies is a one-stop-shop that enables the seamless delivery of live events in Dolby. This will provide operators – like leading sport broadcasters or streaming providers – the ability to deliver incredible viewing experiences to their audiences leveraging Dolby and Aeme’s proven and efficient toolsets.”

Thomas Burnichon, vice president of innovation strategy at Ateme, stresses that “our partnership with Dolby is all about innovation to ultimately improve the quality of experience for the end user – but just as importantly, this integration now makes deploying those technologies really straightforward and cost-effective.”
