Media Mania installs the Lawo mc²56 MkIII IP console in its latest UHD mobile unit

Investments from the United Arab Emirates in first level broadcast technologies does not stop. Media Mania, specialized in mobile unit integration and broadcast services, has decided to include the 彼らのもの mc²56 MkIII IP audio console in its latest UHD OB truck.

Media Mania, aware of the growing importance of the region as a venue for high-level sporting events and attracting high-profile clients, and anticipating the imminent transition to 4K high dynamic range (HDR) standards in the world of remote production, have recently developed and deployed several 4K HDR OB trucks and 4K portable production units (PPU).

The company has decided to integrate the Lawo mc²56 MkIII console into the latest of these vehicles, along with several stage boxes from the German firm. Waddah Thabit, Media Mania’s director of technology, explains the decision: “The mc²56 boasts an extensive array of features meticulously designed to enhance workflow efficiency, increase productivity, and provide ergonomic and intuitive operation. Users can confidently operate the console even in high-pressure situations.” Thabit also highlights the mc²56 MkIII’s ability to be operated by two people; its touch capabilities, which optimizes operational sequences; the “Button Glow” function, which facilitates color coding of channel strips; or the backlit rotary encoders, “ensuring enhanced visibility and user guidance even in low-light environments.”

The Lawo mc²56 MkIII is a console ready for high-demand environments with 16 central faders; multiple integrated local I/O; integration with third-party devices; and Reveal Panel, a system that streamlines tasks such as identifying surround channels assigned to a fader in a 5.1 surround mix. The console also features optimized performance within IP video production environments, with full support for native ST2110, AES67, Ravenna and Dante。
