A preview of the innovative feature-length documentary The dream will be in charge of closing the Culinary section of the San Sebastián Film Festival. The film, a project by the Roca brothers (El Celler de Can Roca) and Mediapro directed by the audiovisual artist Franc Aleu, is based on the experience of the unique dinner held in Barcelona, ​​a city in constant evolution and committed to promoting the new trends that this project has decisively promoted.

The piece that will be presented at the San Sebastián Film Festival will show a small preview of the unique film that is The dream, the creative process of more than 40 artists who culminated around a table to offer a 12-course opera directed by Franc Aleu and with the gastronomic creations of the Roca brothers. Aleu (National Culture Prize of the Generalitat de Catalunya), an outstanding innovator of contemporary opera, proposes to the spectator to live an unprecedented experience through a multi-format show.

The film articulates languages ​​typical of documentary cinema, combined with the narrative resources of essay, fiction and animation cinema. For the first time, the creations of musicians, poets, painters, composers, singers, audiovisual creators from all over the world come together around a dinner in which art and gastronomy come together. The somni breaks all the limits of artistic disciplines, space and concepts to make way for a wedding between opera and gastronomy, with art and thought as the driving force of the project.

The dinner brought together twelve diners, from very diverse backgrounds and each one excellent in their field. They have one factor in common: the curiosity to experiment, to go beyond the limits of the senses.
