Blackmagic Design lowers the price of the Production Camera 4K
Efficiency in the production process allows the Australian brand to lower the price of its popular 4K camera to below $3,000.
Blackmagic Design announced this Monday that the Production Camera 4K is now available at a new price of $2,995. The price reduction is made possible by the efficiency of the production process and will benefit all customers, including those who have placed pre-orders.
Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, highlighted that "the support that the Cinema Camera and Production Camera 4K have received from the creative community is amazing. As with the rest of our products, we worked hard to reduce production costs and be able to pass this reduction on to customers, even the first users of the Production Camera 4K. This camera is the ideal companion to the ATEM Production 4K switchers and we hope that the price reduction will help our users expand their production systems in “Ultra HD with new viewing angles.”
