Penthouse, the first European adult channel in HD

Broadcasting through Eurobird 9A (9ºEast), currently open for promotion, Penthouse HD has started its broadcast for adults in high definition.

The first European channel for adults in high definition is now a reality. Finally it will not be Hustler TV on Hot Bird as they had announced but Penthouse Digital Media Productions with Penthouse HD, the first European commercial channel for adults in HD. The channel that already broadcasts free-to-air with soft content, while the promotion period lasts, through Eurobird 9A to 9º Este, will begin its encrypted broadcast once it has finalized the first agreements with the European distribution platforms. PentHouse HD broadcasts in DVB-S2 with MPEG-4 encoding.

Penthouse will have three high definition channels: Penthouse HD (light programming designed for the British and German market), Penthouse HD1 and Penthouse HD2 (with pornographic content).
