poor devil

poor devil, an adult animated series of eight twenty-minute episodes created and written by Miguel Esteban, Joaquín Reyes and Ernesto Sevilla, co-written by Helena Pozuelo and directed by Miguel Esteban, will be the first animated series commissioned by HBO Max in Spain and is produced by Buendía Studios.

The animation work for the eight episodes of the series will be carried out by the Granada studio Rockyn Animation.

In the series, Stan is a normal kid except for the fact that he is the Antichrist. Plus, he just turned 665 months old. There is one month left until the prophecy is fulfilled and he must fulfill his destiny: plunge humanity into horror and chaos, and bring Armageddon. But he is more interested in singing and dancing in a Broadway musical.

Joaquin Reyes plays Stan, protagonist of poor devil, y Ernesto Sevilla He takes on the role of Mephisto, a hedonistic and lively demonic cat addicted to any drug and whose job is to buy souls, who is also Stan's godfather. Completing the voice cast are, among others, Ignatius Farray, as Satan; Gakian, as Samael, a demon specialized in possessions, and Verónica Forqué as Rose.

Miguel Salvat, executive producer of HBO Max, highlights that “we all know people who have had to make the decision to join the family business or follow in their parents' footsteps. poor devil, obviously takes this to the extreme and does it in a very fun way, following the rich tradition of WarnerMedia adult animations. I hope a lot of people will instantly fall in love with Stan and his demon cat.”

Miguel Salvat and Antonio are the executive producers by HBO Max. Ignacio Corrales (Poison, Temperance, G.E.O. Beyond the limit), David Troncoso (Veneno, Coconut Museum) y Sonia Martinez (The cook of Castamar, The boarding school: Las Cumbres, Temperance), are executive producers by Buendía Estudios.

The series has a scheduled premiere date in 2022.
