Zookaboo, first BRB animated series to be broadcast in 3D
BRB Internacional is producing, together with Screen 21 and the French company Imagen In, the first stereoscopic animation series. The series, which is presented at MIPCOM'09, will be ready next year for broadcast on television, video on demand on the Internet and Blu-ray.
BRB International together with the Catalan company Screen 21 and in collaboration with the prestigious French design studio Image In is producing a series aimed at preschool audiences that will combine real image and high definition 3D animation in a fun guessing game. Zookaboo It will be the first to use the stereoscopic 3D technique for viewing with special glasses on television, video on demand on the Internet, and Blu-ray, and will be completed at the end of next year.
Zookaboo (104×2?) forms an original game of clues about a different animal in each two-minute episode: 104 riddles about 104 different characters hidden in a box! In the series, which has a dynamic narrative plot where the possibilities of 3D are exploited to the maximum, the voice-over of some children interact with the voice-over of the protagonist animal until they discover who is hiding inside the box through questions that will obtain their corresponding graphic and
sonora.
The technique used in the realization of its special effects in 3D will allow the television series to also be viewed with special glasses with which the 3D dimension can be appreciated without leaving home - on television, on home video or on the computer.
BRB International, which manages all rights to Zookaboo worldwide, except in France and the Middle East, will present the pilot episode of the same in the next edition of Mipcom JR and Mipcom? from October 3 to 9 in Cannes.
