Brainstorm - Infinity Suite - IBC 2024

The Brainstorm graphics and virtual production tools will be showcased at IBC 2025 (12-15 September, Amsterdam), where Suite 6.2, the latest version of InfinitySet, Aston and eStudio, will be unveiled for the first time in Europe.

Brainstorm’s demo at IBC 2025 will consist of a hybrid workflow that integrates real sets and virtual environments using an Alfalite Modularpix Pro LED volume. The setup is completed with Canon’s new generation of EOS C500 Mark II cameras and CN-E Cinema Prime lenses, mounted on XD Motion’s Arcam / IO.Bot robotic motion control systems.

The deployment will demonstrate its compatibility with remote control configurations, a solution that is suitable for environments with space or personnel constraints. To achieve this, Brainstorm has certified Canon’s new metadata transmission technology for virtual production, streamlining camera and lens calibration and improving visual consistency.

Throughout the four days of IBC 2025, visitors will be able to learn all about InfinitySet, Aston and eStudio. The benefits of version 6.2 will be showcased through a dynamic, data-driven weather programme that combines augmented reality (AR) and virtual production. Powered by InfinitySet and Unreal Engine 5, the demo will feature advanced capabilities including multi-scene management, talent teleportation and hyper-realistic AR graphics with advanced rendering technologies including Gaussian splash, showing how InfinitySet blends real and virtual production in real time.

Brainstorm - IBC 2024This demonstration also highlights the raw processing power and optimised performance of InfinitySet software. With dual GPU support and Nvidia’s recently certified Blackwell architecture, a single workstation can handle complex virtual production tasks, spanning LED and chroma key sets, multiple camera inputs and real-time AR graphics.

The Brainstorm showcase is complemented by new features from Aston designed for data-driven augmented reality graphics, collaborative and multi-channel workflows. One of the key new features is Instances, a centralised asset system that allows designers to reuse pre-compositions in templates and projects. These graphics can be embedded in immersive virtual environments, including Unreal Engine scenes, enabling seamless interaction with both the talent and the virtual set. Also on the education side will be EdisonGO, a custom capture environment that provides video and tracking information from an iPad, and Edison OnCloud, a subscription-based web service that allows any user to create immersive presentations in the cloud.

David Alexander, commercial director at Brainstorm, anticipates the Spanish company’s attendance at the Amsterdam show: “We’re thrilled to return to IBC and highlight the powerful capabilities our products bring to content creators. As virtual production continues to expand across broadcast, film, and corporate sectors, Brainstorm’s decades-long expertise in real-time 3D graphics ensures our clients maintain their competitive edge”.
