LaON launches the BP950, a multi-channel beltpack that completes the Genie intercom system
Following the success of the compact Genie BP850/851 beltpack, LaON is launching a new multi-channel wireless beltpack: the BP950 model, a solution designed to offer more intuitive operation in complex workflows, significantly improving battery life and wireless coverage range.
The BP950 features six backlit talk keys, a color TFT display, seven configurable keys, an incoming call vibration feature, a visible battery status indicator, a USB charging port, and a weight of 361 grams (including the battery). It also offers versatile headphone connector options, including 6-pin mini-DIN, 4-pin XLR, and TRRS. The BP950 delivers powerful and flexible performance with “minimal effort” in any type of production.
It does not require a specific base station because it pairs with existing Genie base stations and communicates with older beltpack/receiver models in a system that can be scaled up to 128 units. LaON’s latest development can be registered on up to five base stations, and one can be easily selected from the beltpack display.
The BP950 integrates with LaON’s Genie matrix-free IP intercom system. With the BP950, Genie will bring greater flexibility to television studios, mobile units, eSports, referee communications, sports, theater productions, and large-scale events.
