New iVAC character from Activa Multimèdia

The virtual presenter Pau-e will interact with another flesh and blood presenter to present the TV3 program Prepare for TDT.

Pau-e is the new virtual character from the iVAC (interactive Virtual Automatic Character) factory that Activa Multimèdia has created to present, together with his analogue ego, the new TV3 space Prepare for TDT (Get ready for DTT). The program premieres coinciding with the arrival of the first phase of the analogue blackout in Catalonia.

Pau-e is a 3D digital actor, capable of interacting with real actors through previously designed actions and emotions, which will always act as a counterpoint to Pau, the real presenter. Behind this virtual character is the application of innovative technology and the experience of Activa Multimèdia, the R&D driving company of the Catalan Corporation of Mitjans Audiovisuals.

Prepara't per a la TDT will address daily, after the midday news, a specific topic about the change towards digital television, from aspects directly related to the adaptation, such as antennas, coverage or deadlines, to future topics such as the possibilities that open up for television with the arrival of DTT. Pau-e will be the fundamental piece that will link the TV program with the website www.tv3.cat/tdt, which incorporates, in addition to the chapters, specific material designed for the page, as well as pieces referring to the production process of the creation of Pau-e.
