Prodys expands its range of audio encoders with the new Nomada IP XL, a fully portable device that supports IP, 3G, ISDN and PSTN as communication interfaces.

Prodys NomadaNomada IP XL is the new portable, full-duplex, dual (program and coordination channels) Audio Encoder from Prodys. With its new more robust and compact design, and a flatter control panel, it prevents damage to the control elements and makes it easier to use.

Nomada IP XL is a portable audio codec with 4 mic/line inputs and 4 headphone outputs that has all the functionality of a ProntoNet. It comes equipped with an internal mixer that allows all input sources and output channels to be mixed and routed independently. All these audio configuration parameters, both mixing and routing and levels, can be configured locally or remotely through its website. In addition, these parameters can be stored in different presets to make their use easier for unqualified personnel.
Equipment that works over IP or ISDN networks offers full standard TCP/IP connectivity without requiring a specific type of network. The protocols supported are DNS, DHCP, RIP2, SNTP, SNMP, HTTP, IGMP, ICMP, SMTP, and SIP/SDP/RTP.
Regarding the advanced streaming parameters, the device presents a configurable buffer that prevents audio cuts, being able to compensate for up to 10 seconds of jitter in the IP connection, as well as an automatic clock adjustment algorithm (PLL), so that the transmission clock of the remote device is synchronized, to provide a constant delay in IP communications, and thus avoid signal cuts. The Nomada IP XL provides a measurement tool that allows you to obtain the bandwidth, delay and jitter of the IP connection between two ProntoNets. This information will be used to adjust the streaming parameters configurable by the user, and thus obtain the best quality in the reception of audio streaming.
