DVS storage solutions continue to grow in performance, now incorporating the new SpyderBox Ultra range of storage products, which from a "SAN in a Box" concept doubles the capacity for both SATA and SAS disk-based models.

DVS has incorporated the new SypcerBox range into its storage proposals. Equipped with the latest hardware innovations, SpycerBox Ultra takes the "SAN in a Box" concept to another level by doubling the capacity for both SATA and SAS disk-based models and new integration settings for intensive NAS applications.

In this way, SpycerBox Ultra, distributed in Spain by Trigital, allows it to be integrated as a NAS into any existing storage architecture thanks to the number of high-speed interfaces supported. These interfaces are Infiniband, 10GbE Ethernet, 8Gb Fibre Channel as well as Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, FireWire and USB as standard.

Configured as a SAN, SpycerBox Ultra unifies data and metadata storage into a single device optimized for the highest performance and capacity, making it possible to work with more than two 2K data streams in real time.

Management software

Both SpycerBox, in its NAS and SAN configuration, as well as other DVS storage solutions such as the Midrange SAN and Top Range SAN, incorporate Spycer media management software that allows you to have full control over all the video and audio material hosted in the storages, as well as encoding, changing formats and resolutions. High-speed copying, defragmentation of sequences as well as support for multiple MXF variants with codecs such as DVCPRO, XDCAM and Avid DNxHD. Spycer allows you to process, visualize, convert RAW data from RED, ARRI, Phantom and Silicon Imaging.

Spycer can also be used to visualize 3D LUTs by representing them as a colored cube in the player.
