After a flawless performance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 30, Ross Video's Xpression 2D and 3D graphics system was chosen by Los Angeles-based creative production company Mdots/Fontastics to provide live graphics for the 53rd Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Hugh Grew, graphics creator for this show, designed numerous temples for the candidates and winners, launching them on-air with Xpression.
Fast and powerful
"Xpression is fast, powerful, rock solid, and most importantly, easy to use. I was able to create and animate 3D graphics, then complete them with a single off-animation when the director required it. Xpression keeps track of all of its animations continuously, so very clean output graphics come out on cue," commented Hugh.
"While we know that “No other system combines so much power with so much flexibility,” added Allan Wells, owner of MDots/Fontastics.
