Problems between signals and formats? Crystal Vision has a solution
Among the solutions that the British Crystal Vision shows at its stand at NAB 2011, a 2 x 2 switch stands out, two new versions of dual up/down/cross output converters, an update to its down converter with GPI functionality, a color corrector for 25 different standards and an aspect ratio converter.
Among the solutions that the British Crystal Vision (Booth N1520) shows at its stand at NAB 2011 are a 2 x 2 switch that combines clear and intelligent switching, two new versions of dual up/down/cross output converters, an update to its down converter with GPI functionality, a color corrector for 25 different standards and an aspect ratio converter for use in live broadcast, in addition to the new series of multifunctional synchronizers.
Making its debut in Las Vegas is the Safe Switch 3G, which provides clear and intelligent 2x2 switching between 3Gbps, HD and SD sources. This solution is based on a framestore synchronizer for each input with the possibility of connecting it to an external analog reference. Therefore, the Safe Switch 3G can correct the difference (large or small) between two inputs cleanly.
Crystal Vision is also introducing two new versions of its up/down/cross converter series, now with five versions for different applications and budgets. Ideal for broadcast engineers who need simple operation in HD and SD at the same time, this proposal simplifies the conversion between 3 Gbps, HD and SD sources, and can even offer two conversions simultaneously.
The new versions are Up-Down-AT 3G and Up-Down-ATX 3G that provide full flexibility for playout applications, with timecode conversion between SD DVITC and HD ATC and audio routing per stereo channel. Up-Down-ATX 3G can also carry teletext and subtitle information through different definitions, and in upconversion is capable of taking the teletext data out of the analog-style signal encoding and placing it with the same data in an OP-47 stream.
At their stand we can also see the latest versions of their family of Q-Down down converters. Q-Down-A 3G has been updated to incorporate the interconnection flexibility provided by a GPI environment. It is also carrying out demonstrations of its products for embedded audio with advanced technology.
Tandem 3G is a solution that combines embedded and de-embedded for four audio groups with bidirectional digital audio connectivity configurable as AES inputs or outputs, and can also work with 3Gbps, HD and SD sources.
Crystal Vision also exhibits the multifunctional Synner-E 3G that combines synchronizer, tracking audio delay, embedding and de-embedding and audio processor; as well as Coco 3G, the new color corrector and legalizer for 25 different formats. This solution not only supports 50Hz and 54.94 Hz standards for 3Gbps, HD and SD, but also supports 23.98, 24 and 25 frames per second progressive for film-to-video transfers in HD.
