Christie MicroTiles on the London Stock Exchange

Christie's digital display solution has been chosen by the London Stock Exchange in one of the largest and most important facilities developed in the world. It consists of 508 modules installed by the company Focus 21 Visual Communications, Christie's partner in the United Kingdom.

One of the largest Christie MicroTiles installations in the world has just been developed at the London Stock Exchange, located in Paternoster Square.

The consultant and content management expert Jerry Collins was the one who recommended this solution, which consists of 508 Christie MicroTiles modules, and the company Focus 21 Visual Communications, a long-time Christie partner in the United Kingdom, was awarded the tender.

Christie MicroTiles allows you to offer data and video thanks to modules that function as building blocks that are assembled to create screens of different sizes and shapes that are most appropriate to the characteristics of the environment.

The London Stock Exchange now offers listed companies the opportunity to use the latest display technology and communications solutions tailored to the environment. The Christie MicroTiles installation has been located in the building's atrium, a space previously occupied by the mobile sculpture The Source.

The screens are managed through six Christie Spyder X20 processors, where the content comes from different sources (including Scala Infochannel). Additionally, a Crestron controller manages lighting, audio and live camera footage and conducts a fully automated market opening and closing ceremony.

Another 8 x 6 cube MicroTiles video wall has been installed on the balcony that overlooks the atrium, capable of reproducing the same content as the main video wall; while, at ground level, a mosaic has been assembled consisting of 46 MicroTiles cubes of different depths and heights. Outside the atrium, visitors will have access to up-to-the-minute information thanks to another series of four columns of MicroTiles quadrants arranged in a 2x4 configuration.
