Tras su primera aventura internacional en Canadá, y ya que Europa parece que se le resiste, Netflix ampliará su negocio de suscripción a América Latina, incluyendo países del Caribe (excepto Cuba). La cotización de sus títulos en Bolsa se ha disparado.
El servicio de Netflix en streaming (los envíos postales de DVDs se limitan a Estados Unidos) ofrecerá contenido en español, inglés y portugués, por lo que Brasil estará sin duda en el punto de mira que junto a México se perfila como sus dos principales mercados potenciales.
Netflix no ha querido hacer público aún el precio del servicio ni con qué productoras locales firmará para ofrecer sus contenidos desde computadores, televisiones con acceso a Internet o dispositivos móviles.
La compañía de contenidos en streaming sí ha adelantado que antes de que acabe el año estará presente en 43 países.
La noticia de su expansión a América Latina, región en la que se estiman en 40 millones de suscriptores a la tv paga, ha disparado la cotización de los títulos de Netflix en Bolsa.
