Santiago Quiroga: “Broadcast is the place to be”

The director of the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology, Broadcast IT, Santiago Quiroga, acknowledges himself “satisfied” with the results of this call, despite the moment that the sector is going through, which is witnessing a dizzying process of innovation and implementation of different business and distribution models.

In an interview with Panorama Audiovisual, the director of Broadcast IT 2011, Santiago Quiroga, maintains that this edition of the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology that opens today in Madrid is “the most necessary in recent years, fundamentally because we are in a moment of change, at a time where new technologies, audiovisual technologies, are showing themselves to be absolutely necessary tools for all companies in the way of facing the new business models, the new economic situation that we are experiencing.”

Quiroga highlights that "this year there is an increase of around 12% in the number of companies that will be present at the fair with the reincorporation of firms that had not been in the 2009 call."
