The creative director of The Walt Disney Company and Pixar studios has received his star at the historic Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

Two-time Academy Award-winning director John Lasseter has received his star on the Beverly Hills Walk of Fame. Lasseter's star is number 2,453 on the well-known street, which has been awarded to him in the animated film category.

The celebration was presided over by the President of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leron Gubler, and actress Bonnie Hunt was a special guest. Numerous actors and other personalities from the world of cinema also joined the opening ceremony, such as Owen Wilson, Brad Paisley, Emily Mortimer, John Ratzenberger, Oswalt Patton, Don Rickles, Randy Newman and Cheech Marin. In turn, a large participation from The Walt Disney Company and Pixar studios accompanied Lasseter during the inauguration of his star in Hollywood. Rich Ross, director of The Walt Disney Studios, the president of The Walt Disney Studios, Alan Bergman, the President of Production at Disney Studios, Sean Bailey and the president of Pixar Studios, Ed Catmull, among other prestigious guests.

Lasseter is a two-time Oscar winner and currently oversees all films and associated projects for The Walt Disney Company, as well as Pixar Studios, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Lasseter made his directorial debut in 1995 with Toy Story, the first animated film made entirely by computer. Since then, he has directed Animals, Toy Story 2 y Cars. In 2011, Lasseter has returned to take the wheel of the management of Cars 2.
