Attractive migration program to Avid Symphony 6
Media Composer and Final Cut Pro users can now save more than 80% when purchasing Symphony, which speeds up creation with a suite of professional editing, finishing and color correction tools.
Avid is presenting an attractive offer at NAB to “captivate” Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Xpress DV users to switch to Avid's professional editing, finishing and correction system for a much lower cost.
With Symphony 6 software, customers get all the editing features, tools and workflows of Media Composer 6, plus universal finishing and advanced secondary color correction tools.
Recently updated, Symphony 6 has added stereo editing tools, Avid DNxHD options for RGB 4:4:4, and more features for AMA. All these possibilities increase its efficiency in the finish.
Like Media Composer 6, Symphony 6 offers an open 64-bit architecture; a sleek new user interface; compatibility with other popular hardware systems through Avid Open I/O; native AMA (Avid Media Access) support for AVCHD, ARRI Alexa and RED formats, and Apple ProRes encoding (Mac OS-based systems only); the new 4:4:4 codec for Avid DNxHD; stereoscopic 3D workflows; tools for surround sound, among other possibilities.
