TELECAST launches the Fiber Cobra 2DT link for the new Sony HD triaxial cameras
Cobra 2DT is designed for situations in which the transmission between Chamber-CCU is impossible by copper cable due to long distances.
Telecast Fiber Systems Cobra 2DT has launched, a fiber optic link for new Sony triaxial HD chains.
Like the rest of the Triax-A-Fibra Cobra Extension Systems line, the new 2DT Cobra will allow Sony HXC-100K and HSC-300K users between the camera and the CCU, even long distances on fiber optic.
Jim Hurwitz, Director of Product Management and MKT of Telecast, points out that “so far, the technique, even in the high -definition digital cameras, has been based on analog transmissions for communication between the camera and its CCU, but Sony has opened new paths through the introduction in the industry for the first time of the digital triaxial systems. These of greater quality and low cost are oriented to high -definition and are oriented receiving a tremendous reception by the professional video production community.
Cobra 2DT is thus designed for situations in which the transmission between camera-cu is impossible by copper cable due to long distances.
Like the rest of the Cobra family, Cobra 2DT converts the signs of the triaxial chamber for transport on fiber optics in direct cables or in the preables. The 2DT charges together with the Sony HXC-100K and 300k-HSC cameras, allows the video program to be bidirectionally transported in the component, return video and genlock, audio, intercom, and IFB, as well as camera control data and Tally.
The 2DT Cobra is available in a compact design, robust and resistant to inclemencies within its housing.
The Cobra 2DT unit is fed from the CCU, while the installed unit next to the camera is feed on a 100-240 Vac. Two base units can be configured in a 1 RU rack. The system supports ST, OpticalCon or MX type connectors.
