Kyodo Television has selected EVS's XT3 servers based on their high-definition 3G capabilities and full compatibility with Sony HDC-2500 3G HD cameras, as well as their renowned performance and reliability. On the KR-Advance 3G mobile, the XT3 servers are configured in a six-channel 3D/1080p configuration. Each XT3 server supports up to three HDC-2500 cameras in dual super slow-motion mode, allowing four servers to record all the images from a dozen cameras (eight 3G HD Sony HDC-2500 3G and four HD HDC-2000 Sony) at the same time.

Kyodo, which has been working with EVS solutions for years, has also invested in EVS Multicam LSM remote controllers and an EVS XNet2 network on a shared media network to control four XT3 servers.

With its flexibility of eight channels in SD/HD and six channels in 3D/1080p configuration, the The XT3 is the industry's first server capable of ingesting and outputting six non-stop sources at 3Gbps for live and near-live production operations in 3D or 3G.
