Sony presents the future of the broadcasting sector at IBC 2013
Sony will attend the IBC for another year to showcase its continued attempt to offer a vision beyond definition through its innovative range of products and services.
The Amsterdam event will provide Sony the opportunity to share his vision about the broadcasting sector. Through these exciting advancements in technology, products, solutions and services, Sony pushes its boundaries to new heights to create a world beyond definition.
Sony will showcase its level of collaboration with the industry to meet customer demands for the most sophisticated content formats, such as 4K, which will allow them to lead the content creation and distribution markets.
The event also offers Sony the opportunity to share its experiences on some key projects from recent months. In addition, Sony has been in charge of the HD multiplatform production of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, where it has also been testing 4K live production with a view to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. Likewise, given the strong relationship with the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Sony has been in charge of recording part of the Wimbledon tournaments in 4K; another emblematic technology from AELTC and Sony.
In parallel with its work in sports broadcasting, Sony will have the opportunity to discuss how it has been supporting future talent in the broadcasting sector through initiatives such as the John Lennon Bus and the Sony PROduction Awards. Earlier this year, Sony collaborated with The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus project, which offers production equipment, integration services, advice and expertise around the development of skills related to digital music and video production, in a new example of its commitment to multimedia teaching and training. In May of this year, Sony also announced the winners of the Sony PROduction Awards, a competition that discovers and honors the filmmakers of tomorrow.
Sony will be in the same location as last year, in Hall 12, stand 12.A10, as well as in the central part of the outdoor area.
