Madrid Audiovisual Observatory: a window to the future of the sector

He Madrid Audiovisual Cluster has presented its latest initiative: the Madrid Audiovisual Observatory, a space designed to gather, organize and project key information on the evolution of the Madrid audiovisual sector

The Observatory was created with the objective of offering a clear, rigorous and accessible view sobre la actividad del sector en la Comunidad de Madrid, convirtiéndose en una herramienta de referencia para los agentes del ecosistema audiovisual, las instituciones y el público en general. Esta iniciativa se estructura en tres áreas principales: Agenda Madrid, que reúne de forma segmentada los festivales, certámenes y actividades del sector; Data Madrid, que concentra los indicadores y datos más relevantes de la industria a través de una infografía dinámica y un repositorio documental, y Radar Madrid, un espacio dedicado a identificar tendencias, iniciativas y proyectos emergentes que están configurando el futuro del audiovisual madrileño.

El acto ha presentación de la iniciativa ha tenido lugar en el Auditorio Écija, where the entities associated with the Cluster met with institutional representatives and other guests from the sector in a meeting that showed the strategic position of the Madrid audiovisual sector. During the opening of the event, Raúl Berdones, president of Madrid Audiovisual Cluster, He highlighted the importance of having tools that allow us to “better understand the present of the sector and anticipate the challenges and opportunities that will open up in the coming years.” Likewise, he stressed that the Observatory “will be a living space, constantly updated, that will provide transparency, context and strategic vision at a key moment for the industry.”

During the day there was also the General Assembly of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster, in which the budget and activity plan for 2026, and the new members incorporated since the previous assembly were welcomed. The session reflected the partners' support for the work carried out and the shared willingness to continue promoting projects that strengthen the Madrid audiovisual ecosystem. The event concluded with a meeting space between associated entities, institutions and professionals, in which the role of the Observatory as a platform to promote new synergies and strengthen the audiovisual ecosystem of the region was highlighted.
