The Academy of Television Sciences and Arts is finalizing preparations for the tribute in memory of the journalist and academic Manuel Martín Ferrand, who died on August 30 after a long illness, one of the promoters of private television in Spain.

Nieves Herrero and Francisco García Novell, member of the Board of Directors of the Academy and coordinator of the event, will lead a ceremony that has had the support of their family and the collaboration of the archives of Televisión Española, Antena 3 TV, Cadena Ser and the newspaper ABC.

The Tribute will be held next Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Mapfre Convention Center in Madrid and will feature the participation of numerous professionals and colleagues of the missing journalist such as Alfredo Amestoy, Luis Ángel de la Viuda, Jorge del Corral, Paloma San Basilio, Jose Luis Balbín, José Luis Orosa, Elena Martí, Fernando Onega, Ramón Pradera, Bieito Rubido, Ricardo Vaca, José Torres Guardia, Ramón Sánchez Ocaña, Rafael Jimenez de Parga, Javier Vázquez, Rafael Benedito, Javier Gimeno de Priede, Miguel Ángel García Juez, Alfonso Ortuño and Manuel Campo Vidal, among others.

In addition, numerous journalism professionals have confirmed attendance such as Miguel de la Quadra Salcedo, Rafael Ansón, Consuelo Berlanga, Carlos Abad, Miguel de los Santos, Elsa González, Javier Bardají, Julio Somoano, Ángeles Afuera or Pilar Falcón, among others. The entire founding teams of the 24 Hours news program on TVE and Antena 3 TV will also be present at the tribute.
