Editorial Bolina enters bankruptcy proceedings

The publisher of specialized publications in the sector such as Professional Production, Frame, Audio Production and IP-Professional Installation fires its entire staff in Spain and files for bankruptcy.

The Official State Gazette (BOE) published on January 7 the announcement of the Commercial Court number 5 of Madrid in which the declaration of voluntary bankruptcy of creditors (former suspension of payments) of Editorial Bolina S.L. was communicated, under article 23 of the Bankruptcy Law.

The publisher, with Portuguese capital, began its activity in Spain at the end of the nineties with the launch of professional technical titles such as Professional Production, Frame, Audio Production and IP-Professional Installation.

Editorial Bolina had ceased publishing these publications throughout 2013. Now, the court has agreed to intervene in the debtor's powers and has appointed lawyer Jesús María Aranda Terrado as bankruptcy administrator.

On December 31, the publisher informed all its staff of the termination of their contracts.
