Technicolor will supply Telefónica with set-bop-boxes for HD satellite reception in Latin America
The French company's equipment will allow digital recording and includes advanced video functions.
The French Technicolor will be a provider of set-top-boxes for high definition satellite services Telefónica in Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia.
At the same time, and as part of the agreement, Technicolor will also provide support to Telefónica in Peru, offering these services to the cable clients that the Spanish operator has in the Latin American country.
Technicolor has explained that its decoders will allow Telefónica to offer advanced services to its customers quickly and efficiently. Specifically, the French firm's equipment allows digital recording and includes advanced video functions.
For the vice president of Connected Home EMEA at Tecnicolor, François Rossiensky, the efforts to create an innovative decoder have been the key to being chosen by Telefónica.
For his part, the director of Development of New Products and Services at Telefónica David del Val, Technicolor decoders will contribute to reinforcing the company's leading position in digital solutions for the home
