Mediaset buys back 8.5% of its capital from PRISA for 307.5 million

PRISA still controls 5.1% of Mediaset España.

This Thursday, PRISA reported to the National Securities Market Commission the sale of 34,583,221 shares of Mediaset España, which represents 8.5% of its share capital, at a price of 8.892 euros per share.

The shares for a total of 307.5 million euros have been sold to Mediaset España itself.

PRISA has already announced that the funds obtained from this sale of shares will be used to repurchase debt through the different modalities and mechanisms provided for in the current refinancing contracts.

PRISA still controls 20,951,677 shares of Mediaset España, 5.1% of the capital of the company that manages Telecinco, Cuatro and other channels in Spain.
