Apple has updated the MacBook Pro laptops with Retina display, with faster processors, doubling the memory of the two entry-level configurations, and with a new, more affordable price for the top-of-the-range 15-inch laptop. The MacBook Pro with Retina display features a spectacular high-resolution display, an attractive design that's just 1.8cm thick, the latest processors and powerful graphics, and up to nine hours of battery life, delivering exceptional performance in a fully portable design.

Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3 GHz
The MacBook Pro with 13-inch Retina display features dual-core Intel Core i5 processors with speeds of up to 2.8 GHz and Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.3 GHz, and with 8 GB of memory (doubling the 4 GB of the previous entry model in the range). The 13-inch model can also be custom configured with faster dual-core Intel Core i7 processors up to 3.0 GHz and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.5 GHz.
The 15-inch model features fast quad-core Intel Core i7 processors up to 2.5 GHz and with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.7 GHz, 16 GB of memory (doubling the 8 GB of the previous base 15-inch model), and can be custom configured with quad-core Intel Core i7 processors up to 2.8 GHz and Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.0 GHz.
All new Macs also include free OS X Mavericks, the world's most advanced operating system. With more than 200 new features, OS This fall, Mac users will be able to download OS X Yosemite, a redesigned and refined version of OS OS X Yosemite can be downloaded for free from the Mac App Store.
