Universal will distribute 'A Perfect Day' in Spain

Universal Pictures International Spain distribuirá en España la nueva película de Fernando León de Aranoa, A Perfect Day. La película está producida por Reposado y Mediapro, y cuenta con la participación de TVE, TV3, Canal+, Telecable y Orange. La compañía Westend Films será la responsable de las ventas internacionales. Su estreno será en 2015.

El proyecto con mayor vocación internacional de Fernando León de Aranoa está protagonizado por los ganadores de un Oscar Benicio del Toro (Traffic) y Tim Robbins (Mystic River), and by actresses Olga Kurylenko (Oblivion) y Mélanie Thierry (The Zero Theorem). Completing the cast are Fedja Stukan (In the land of blood and honey) y el niño Eldar Residovic.

Sophie (Mélanie Thierry) wants to help people, Mambrú (Benicio del Toro) wants to return home, Katya (Olga Kurylenko) once loved Mambrú. Damir (Fedja Stukan) wants the war to end, Nikola (Eldar Residevic) wants a ball, B (Tim Robbins) doesn't know what he wants. But what you want rarely coincides with what you need.

A group of aid workers tries to remove a body from a well in a conflict zone. Someone has thrown it inside to corrupt the water and leave nearby towns without supply. But the simplest task here becomes an impossible mission, in which the real enemy may be irrationality. The aid workers travel through the delirious war landscape trying to resolve the situation, like guinea pigs in a maze.
