ECAM 2015/16

The School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM), has opened the registration period for the access tests to its eight diplomas: Direction, Production, Editing, Photography Direction, Artistic Direction, Sound, Scriptwriting and Documentary Film; as well as for the Costume Design Course.

In 2013, the new ECAM Diploma study plan was implemented, structured in three courses, through which the student is offered a comprehensive training plan for the professional specialty in which they decide to enroll.

The first course is common to all the specialties taught at the school and the specialization takes place in the Second and Third Course. In this first course, all students will do internships in each of the positions (director, director of photography, editor,...) specific to the specialties they will opt for at the end of the course.

The next academic year 2015/2016 will be the year of consolidation of this new study plan, betting on transversal education with greater collaboration between the different specialties and with a faculty made up of outstanding professionals such as Enrique Urbizu, Ricardo Steinberg, Borja Cobeaga, Fernando Franco, José Nolla, Belén Bernuy, Santiago Racaj, Javier Rebollo, Carlos Dorremochea, Mariano Barroso, Pedro Moreno, Pablo Remón, Alejandro Hernández or David Early.

Documentary Cinema

ECAM is committed to avant-garde training in one of the narratives that is giving the most success to Spanish Cinema: documentary cinema. This specialty is coordinated by Carlos Muguiro and features filmmakers who are revolutionizing the genre internationally, among whom are professionals of the stature of Sergio Oksman, León Siminiani, Lois Patiño, Chema García Ibarra and Virginia García del Pino.
